WHO WAS JEFFREY?
He was accused of running a network of underage girls to whom he paid for sexual services, not only for himself but for his powerful friends. In August, Epstein committed suicide in jail in August while awaiting his trial on sex trafficking charges.
WHY IS THE CASE SO CONTROVERSIAL?
Because Epstein was friends or was related to many politicians and celebrities such as Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein (who is currently serving a 23 year sentence for sexual abuse), actor Kevin Spacey, Prince Andrew (the second son of Elisabeth II), and so on.
TRUMP AND EPSTEIN.
In 2002, Trump said: “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy”. Now, he is saying: I don’t think I’ve spoken to him for 15 years, I wasn’t a fan.
An Epstein accuser later alleged that she was made to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was 17. He denied it. But as result of the continuing controversy over the British royal’s past friendship with Epstein, Andrew stepped back from public duties.
Now, U.S Attorney asked Andrew to answer questions about his friendship with Jeffrey and authorities said that he is not cooperating in the investigation.
