Is there life on Venus?

THE STORY.

A group of scientists suggested that there could be life on Venus, the closest planet to Earth.

WHY?

Investigators have found traces of phosphine in Venus’ atmosphere, which is a gas normally generated during the breakdown of organic matter.

SO?

The only realistic possibility for this gas to be there is the presence of life. However, other scientists are not so sure about it.

TELL ME MORE.

The temperature on Venus’ surface is above 450 degrees Celsius and its atmospheric pressure is 90 times that of earth. Also, it suffers from acid rains which make life there nearly impossible. .
